I feel like dancin, dancin!

Eden and Kyleigh in their dance performance costumes. Eden completed her second full year of tap, and Kyleigh did 3 eight week dance classes this year - the last one was jazz ballet. When they aren't fighting - they are really good friends! This photo was after they both nailed their performances.
The "official" photos.

Beautiful girl! Beautiful girl!

Kyleigh's personality comes through. Loves the jokes!

My sweeties! Aren't they cute? They look like they are ready for mischief, don't they?

Planting a garden

Planting a garden - we love it! In fact they were so focused, I couldn't get them to look at the camera.
We planted the usual - carrots, beans, peas from seeds. Bedding out plants - squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and corn. I love fresh produce and can't wait for the results. MMMMM. The master gardener! And - do you see the pea plants beside him? Hmmm how are those already growing, you ask? Two little girls admitted to finding pea seeds in the fall and planting them one day when they were outside. Sneaky little girls - being obedient to the prophet! The little seeds survived the winter and voila - green peas already! Little waterers taking care of the plants.

Too cute.

Visit to Grandma Judy & Grandpa Dick

On the May long weekend we made a last minute decision to visit Will's Mom Judy, and her husband, Dick, in Sorrento BC. It was a great visit!
Dipping chocolates with grandma. Eden loves cooking - and so does grandma. A great thing for them to do together. I REALLY enjoyed eating these little morsels.

A house Will designed is located at the Shuswap lakes. We got to go by and see it while we were out there. Neat to see his work. Talented guy!

The back view - it's the one at the top.

With the designer!

Out on adventure walks with Grandpa. He was so great about taking the girls out - and they loved it.

Another very memorable part of our trip was watching the humming birds feed - especially during the evenings.

Wow! They are so close. What beautiful birds. They have personalities too. The one with the orange feathers was quite territorial and fiery! I guess he or she was the hummingbird version of a red head!

Will, his Mom and our kids - with the Shuswap lakes in the background. They have a lovely view.

We stopped on the way home to throw rocks.

Kyleigh's birthday

Our special 5 year old! We sure love our Kyleigh. With the beautiful smile, and great laugh - she is so much fun to be around. We have learned this year through preschool that Kyleigh is really good at building things (thankfully she inherited her Dad's skill there - not mine!). She loves doing crafts, especially if it involves jewelry. She has more jewelry than any child I've ever met - and she religiously puts some piece of it on each day. Kyleigh loves to help someone pick out their clothes - she is our Diva. I love her gentle side - the soft cuddly side of Kyleigh. She is a real treasure in our family! With Kyleigh's requested meal. Homemade hamburgers, french fries and corn on the cob.

Opening her present from Eden - a pair of Hello Kitty flip-flops. Eden was so excited to give them to her. I love that about Eden. I love that Kyleigh is such a princess - check out her fancy hair - done by Raylene. In Kyleigh's world - that's pretty awesome! Blowin out the candles.

We love hanging out with Raylene! So - Kyleigh loves Minnie Mouse ever since our trip to Disneyland in April. She wanted a Minnie Mouse party - which mostly we didn't do, as we were scheduled for a gymnastics party already. However, she was pretty pleased with these cupcakes. And if I do say so myself - I think they turned out pretty cute.

At the gymnastics party with all 18 children. Crazy. Yup that's me. But I can't stand leaving people out. Anyway - this was pretty fun and great that the kids could have fun on the gymnastics equipment. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry - I was having technical difficulties!Pretty brave girl!

With all of her friends. So fun!

I love the expression on her face. This is why parents invest so much time and effort in planning a party. We love our children to feel how special they really are.

Enjoying her Minnie Mouse cup cake. She's our chocolate girl!
